Rob, Runaway Bay Veterinary Practice said: “He was a stoic gentleman”
Yvonne, Nelson’s good work mate who always asked: “Where’s my Golden Boy”
Nelson was a gentle, quiet, intelligent, aristocratic Golden Labrador who died of Bone Marrow Cancer well before his time should have come.
In his 6 short years, ‘our boy’ sailed, flew in planes, picnicked, drove, ran, walked, swam, sniffed & ATE his way around Sydney, Melbourne & Surfers Paradise, always with such quiet dignity.
The story of this very special urban dog will capture your imagination through the on-going sagas of his life, as we bring his adventures to you via our Dog-E Mail newsletter.
You will hear about Thursday Twilight Racing on “his” yacht out of Middle Harbour, -Sunday Yum Cha’s in Chinatown in Sydney, -Dining Out in Melbourne when 6 degrees is not too cold for outside dining (as long as Nelson could be with us), and, -flying in private planes out of Surfers.
You will laugh, cry & be amazed, at the adventures of one dog who lived life to the full, as short as it was. Our emotional bond was complete, and his trust in our love for him was absolute.
To all the Club Members & Friends who remember ‘Nelsie’ & shared different aspects of his life, we say thank you for the great times we had together.
To our new Club Members, we look forward to sharing tales with you about the amazing life adventures you have shared with your dogs – they are all special! (Email me your stories: kate@lordnelsondogclub.com.au)
We say thank you every day for having been blessed to have spent nearly 6 years of our lives with him.
Always in our hearts. He taught us to be better people.
